Required Courses for Certification

In order to complete all NTCB requirements for the designation of Certified Biofeedback Specialist, all students must take three specific online correspondence courses:  Professional Practices, Professional Ethics, and Creating Informed Consent Forms. These courses are provided through the Natural Therapies Certification Workshops (NTCW).  These workshops are not taught by IBA due to the ever changing laws and restrictions of the FDA and other governing sectors of the US and individual states.  The NTCB/NTCW maintains the highest applications of these requirements to the benefit of all integrative, as well as, biofeedback practitioners.   

Below you will see an explanation of each course.  The cost is $195.00 for the package of the three required courses. Also listed are two additional courses currently being offered free of charge to IBA students , Basic Coaching Tools and Basics of Biofeedback, (this does not replace the required Basic Training Course for LIFE practioners.)  Please follow the link to Basic Coaching Tools and take advantage of this free gift through the NTCW.  You will receive Basics of Biofeedack after you register.

After successfully completing these courses, you will be eligible to proceed to your Biofeedback Coaching Course.  This course is taught through IBA at a cost of $225.00 

Professional Practices is a self-paced correspondence course that teaches you how to thrive and survive in the current hostile regulatory (drug company controlled) environment in which we work. This course -- required by most certification boards -- counts 10 CEUs toward certification and recertification.

Professional Ethics is a course designed to help you function legally, professionally and ethically as a natural therapies professional. This course -- required by most certification boards -- counts 10 CEUs toward certification and recertification.

Creating Informed Consent Forms is a great correspondence course designed for you to personalize your Informed Consent Form to give you maximum protection. Instructors are available for one-on-one consultations. This course -- required by most certification boards -- counts 10 CEUs toward certification and recertification.

Basic Biofeedback Coaching Tools is a free self-paced correspondence course  to prepare you for our acclaimed Basic Coaching Skills Workshop.

Learn how to correctly speak to your clients, guiding them through a successful relaxation session.

Basic Coaching Skills Workshop This workshop is designed to help practitioners talk the talk of a professional, while staying within the scope of their practice. By following the guidelines, practitioners will be able to describe what they are certified to accomplish for thier clients using language that does not imply diagnosing, treating, curing or attempting to cure any medical, emotional, mental, psychological/physical condition, disease or disorder of any kind.  This is a 30 CEUs workshop.
